Reflection: This entire project has been extremely difficult. I think I needed an extra set of hands the entire time. I wish I could re-do the top lighting and diffuse it. I think it would look better, I feel as though it was extremely harsh on the object I chose. That is the other issue that I struggled with: my object. It was extremely reflective and so many times the light caught a gem and created an unwanted glimmer. Then, it got me wondering about if that is artistic or just poor lighting skills. Also, I still am confused about concentrated lighting despite how much I read about it. I feel as though it confuses me because it is supposed to concentrate on the image, and I’m unsure if I was able to achieve it. I played with lighting for hours and struggled to maneuver the objects and lighting in different angles to ensure that the images were high-resolution and not moving. It was a technical challenge. Although I really enjoyed my second diffused image, as I used a funnel from the top to create the god-like going up to heaven beam. Also, for my other diffused images, I used a sheet and the inside of cocktail shaker. I loved the way it turned out. But, overall I struggled a lot with this assignment. I think I just needed a set hand to help.
